Professional Experience

Chris comes from a long career of high performance and sports medicine achievements. He started his professional career in 2003 when he graduated with his Doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Miami.  He founded Jaguar Therapeutics in 2007 where he spent 15 years as the CEO and head physical therapist. By combining his business background with his vision of physical medicine, he took a fragmented outpatient system and created a true multidisciplinary environment. By bringing together physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, physiological testing and engineering  it with strength and conditioning and skills coaching, the ultimate environment has been created for anyone aiming to achieve their goals. Under these principles, he treated and rehabbed some of the best professional and non-professional athletes in Miami and across the United States. 

During this time, Chris also spent 8 years with the USA sailing team. He was the head strength and conditioning coach and assistant physical therapist from 2009-2014. His role grew into the head physical therapist and Medical Director positions from 2012-2016 where he represented the USA as the team physical therapist at the 2012 London Olympics. 

Through Jaguar Therapeutics, Chris has served as the medical director and treated as a physical therapist with Pete Bommarito at Bommarito Performance Systems from 2010-2015, Fitspeed with Matt Gates from 2015-2017, XPE with Matt Gates and Tony Villani from 2018-2023, and now APEC from 2022-Current. Through these programs he has been a leader in transitioning over 550 college football players into the professional ranks.  During this same period, Chris has also directed and treated over 300 professional NFL players during their offseason. 

As the CEO of APEC the past 2 years, Chris has worked closely with APEC Founder Bobby Stroupe in growing and expanding APEC’s top training program into the multidisciplinary model intertwining top training with comprehensive physical medicine. Chris has traveled around the US, bringing operations efficiency and his medical/training system to numerous APEC affiliate sites.

Education

Chris graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management. He continued his education at the University of Miami by graduating with his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2007. Since Graduating from the University of Miami he has taken numerous physical therapy and strength and conditioning certifications achieving his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), United States Olympic weightlifting Club Coach (USAW), and Master Dry Needling Certification (MDNC). Over the past year Chris has also started his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas Texas. 

 Personal

Originally from Peoria IL, Chris attended Macomb High School where he was a dual sport athlete excelling in baseball and basketball. He Played basketball at Eastern Illinois University helping the team to a OVC tournament championship and birth in the NCAA tournament in 2001. After graduating from EIU, Chris attended the University of Miami graduating with a Doctorate degree in physical therapy. He spent 20 years in Miami where he started his family. Chris is married and has 3 daughters and 1 son. Since purchasing APEC and taking on the role of CEO, Chris and his family relocated to Dallas, Texas and are enjoying this new chapter in their lives.

Hunter was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, going to Whitehouse schools and graduating from The Brook Hill School in 2012. A multi-sport athlete, Hunter played on Texas State Champion football and baseball teams his senior year, earning academic all-state recognition in both. Hunter was invited to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in 2012. Continuing his education, Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Studies with a minor in Leadership studies from Baylor University. During his time at Baylor, Hunter completed 4 years on a top 10 nationally ranked club baseball team and served as a peer leader in Health and Wellness.
Upon graduation in 2016, Hunter sought experience as a physical therapy assistant in outpatient orthopaedic rehab and sports medicine before beginning the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Parker University. With a passion for athletic performance, biomechanics, holistic medicine and the benefit of a Chiropractic adjustment, Hunter developed proficiency in spinal manipulation, movement assessment, patient education and detection and correction of functional deficits. In 2020, Hunter earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University, where he also met his wife, Courtney George, DC.
Together, with their son, Baker, they enjoy exploring Dallas and Fort Worth, taking in sporting events, traveling as a family and building healthy lifestyles.

Brandon was born in Tyler and was raised in north Texas. While attending Pilot Point high school, Brandon played football for the all-time winningest coach in Texas high school football history. After high school, Brandon graduated from Texas A&M University with honors in Speech Communications with a minor in Interdisciplinary Business from Mays Business School. In the summers of college (2008-2012), Brandon worked at APEC as a speed coach at various local high schools in the Tyler area. He then went on to move to the Fort Worth area upon graduation to work in the banking industry as a branch manager. In 2017, Brandon came to work at APEC in an operations role in Fort Worth. In the years since, Brandon has worked on marketing, operations, graphic design, agent relations, pro player relations, management, and more. He oversaw the development of the APEC app and the migration during COVID to offer digital solutions to keep APEC thriving. Personally, Brandon is married to his wife Laura, with one son, James. He plays outdoor soccer to stay active.

Sam was born in Fleet, England. Sam moved to the US in 2007 to pursue a soccer scholarship and further his education. He began at North Iowa area Community College and transferred after graduating to Midwestern State University (MSU). Exercise Science has been apart of life since the age of sixteen. He graduated from Midwestern State University with a master's degree in Exercise Physiology.
